Navigating Menopause with Confidence & Comfort

Menopause is a natural transition, not a disease. With the right knowledge, support, and treatment options, most women can navigate this phase comfortably and maintain an excellent quality of life.

1What is menopause?

Menopause is defined as 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period, typically occurring between ages 45 and 55. The transition period (perimenopause) can begin 4–8 years earlier with irregular cycles and early symptoms.

2Common symptoms and how to manage them

Hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, vaginal dryness, sleep disturbances, brain fog, and reduced libido are common. Not every woman experiences all of these. Lifestyle changes, hormone therapy (HRT), non-hormonal medications, and vaginal lubricants are all effective options.

3Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) — is it right for you?

HRT is the most effective treatment for moderate-to-severe menopausal symptoms. Modern HRT preparations are much safer than older versions. Dr. Nasreen conducts a thorough risk assessment to determine if HRT is appropriate and which form (pills, patches, gel, or local vaginal) suits you best.

4Long-term health after menopause

Post-menopause, women face increased risk of osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and urinary incontinence. Regular bone density scans, lipid profile testing, heart-healthy lifestyle, and adequate calcium/vitamin D are essential preventive measures.

Dr. Nasreen's Tip

Menopause is not the end of vitality — it's a new chapter. Many women report feeling healthier and more focused post-menopause. Dr. Nasreen will help you find your best strategy.
